All programs will require that you meet and demonstrate both your academic and financial eligibility for HEOP.  Academic criteria differ between institutions but the economic guidelines are established by NYSED and are the same for all HEOP Programs. (see chart below) 

Most programs will require that you complete a financial review that may include providing Federal and State documentation related to your household size and annual income.  Documents required may include but are not limited to the following: 

• Federal Student Aid Report (FAFSA)
• Completed TAP application
• CSS profile (Collegeboard) 
• Federal or State tax returns for you and/or your parent/guardian (i.e. 1040, 1040EZ, IT-201, etc.) 
• W2s for you or your parent/guardians 
• Documentation of Social Security Benefits (1099)
• Public Assistance Documentation (SNAP, TANF, etc.)
• Other documentation as indicated by specific programs

Many programs will also required students to complete additional tasks that will assist in our subjective review. This may include but are not limited to the following: 

• Submit Additional Test Scores 
• Supplemental Questionnaire
• Personal Interview 
• Campus Visit 
• Letters of Recommendation
• Portfolio Review 
• Writing and/or Math Assessment
